Routine Urinalysis (UA) is performed to detect renal and metabolic diseases, including disorders of the kidneys or urinary tract infections.
Bladder Cancer Detection
A noninvasive method that aids in the diagnosis of bladder cancer from patients with hematuria in conjunction with cystoscopy and cytology.
Instructions for Collecting Urine
1. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
2. Clean genital area with wipes.
3. Open sterile container.
4. Catch urine in the sterile container mid-stream.
5. Replace the lid firmly on the container.
6. Label specimen with name, date, and time of collection.
